Top Ten for all at Hyattsville CX

12 10 2010

Team Bike Doctor scored several riders in the top ten in many categories at the Hyattsville CX race put on by Route 1 Velo on Sunday. Starting things off right, Tanner Brown won another Junior race before jumping in with the C race to get his first taste of racing with the big kids. In the Master’s B race, Todd “Bottle Rocket” Bickling got in with the lead group on the first lap, and placed a very respectable 7th across the finish line proving once again he is consistent. Next up, Sunny Gil and Steve Fife lined up on the second row of call ups for the Men’s B race. Last week, Gil and Fife had a great battle on the last lap with Greg Faber from NCVC, with Gil coming out on top for 10th place, while Fife followed in 12th. This week, the same 3 riders got together mid race and the Bike Doctor boys had more firepower. Fife eventually pulled away as Sunny sat on Faber before finishing him off at the end. Fife rolled in 8th, and Gil followed shortly after in 9th. And finally, Evan Ellicott put in a great effort in the Master’s elite race that saw him make the initial selection of the front group. After a few laps, Ellicott settled in to 4th, and held it all the way to the end. All the Bike Doctor “Cross” guys are having a blast, looking forward to the rest of the remaining season, and will be hunting for more top 10’s!
