Tanner Browne podiums at DCCX despite broken chain

25 10 2010

Tanner had a great start taking the lead in the first turn only to have his chain break. He was forced to run about a mile to the pit and change to a borrowed bike (thank you Steve Cummings). By the time he was back on the bike he was in last place by a few minutes. He managed to go from 17th to 3rd in one and a half laps with an impressive performance. “I thought I’d have a hard time riding after the run to the pit” Tanner said, “but I got on the bike and felt pretty good”. Tanner salvaged an otherwise bad day with a great ride and 3rd place.
