100 miles of dirt and lovin’ it – Cohutta 100

2 05 2012

Jed Prentice made the trek to the Ocoee Whitewater Center in Copperhill, TN for the Cohutta 100, the first round of the National Ultra-Endurance (NUE) Series, riding to a 25th place finish with a time of 8:24. Jed got a good start and stayed in the lead group all the way up the first climb and went into the woods in good position. From there he was able to make the most of his singletrack skills and ride hard for the first 90 minutes, settling into more of a long-haul pace once on the dirt roads. His solid climbing legs came in handy, with more than 13,000 feet of climbing on the day, and he was able to maintain or improve his position in the field for the duration, while experiencing no major physical or mechanical issues and putting down a solid performance.

Jed would like to thank the team’s sponsors for their generous support, without whom he wouldn’t be able to promote and enjoy the sport that he loves.
